Album Info: | On November 5 and 6 of 2013, the ALCO Historical & Technical Society was forced to scrap former Delaware & Hudson RS3 4082, due mostly to changes with the owners of the property on which it sat. With no place to bring it and no means in which to move it, the hard decision was made to salvage what few good parts remained (with parts going to both the Delaware Lackawanna and Battenkill) and scrap the rest before we lost possession and someone else did. It is always sad to see an ALCO go, especially an RS3, and even more so when you are the President of the organization that owned it. Rest in peace 4082. Your death will not be in vain. |
