Album Info: | On the Norwich Branch in Connecticut, the Providence and Worcester Railroad maintains repair shops, locomotive and car painting, and yards at Plainfield. In October of 2007, the diamond at Plainfield where the old New Haven Midland Division crossed the Norwich and Worcester Railroad was removed and replaced with a new cut-off track forever eliminating the diamond. Today the long out of service Midland Division is activated to Willimantic, where interchange with New England Central now takes place, general freight and ethanol for Motiva, Providence, Rhode Island. |
