Album Info: | Glenn managed to document several runs of the Southern Steam program initiated by the Claytor brothers. Most were taken in and around Birmingham and its outskits. Also documented is the rather substantial stock of equipment held near the Amtrak Station by the Heart of Dixe Railroad Museum in Birmingham prior to building a permanent home in Calera.
From Glenn--"All the steam excursions originated out of Birmingham Terminal ( or what was left of it ). I can't remember if 610 went down the "P" Line that day or not.. I can't place that overheaqd RR bridge. Royal Hudson 2839 Went SW thru Bessmer and then Turned South towards Wilton.. The over head shot was from The Brock's Gap ( or at least I think I remember it being Brock's Gap ) between Bessmer Airport and Helena.
GAS&C ( Georgia, Ashburn, Sylvester & Camilla ) 100 was under a shed in Sylvester, Ga."
