Album Info:The Moshassuck Valley railroad was only two miles long, running from Saylesville, RI to a mainline connection in Woodlawn, Pawtucket. It was built in 1875 by the Sayles brothers to provide rail service to what had become the largest cloth finishing mills in the world. It was owned by the Sayles until 1967, and since 1981 by the Providence & Worcester with which it originally connected. It is barely a shadow of the busy railroad it once was.
